2010 Membership Directory Will Be Published Soon

The 2010 Membership Directory is going to be sent to the printer very soon. The plan is to distribute them to members at the Annual Meeting & Banquet being held on November 12th at the Thunder Bay Grille. If you are unable to attend the banquet, your directory will be mailed to you shortly afterward.

GAME NIGHT SATURDAY, OCTOBER 16th at 7pm

Enjoy playing games? Have a new board game someone gave you last Christmas you still haven't opened? Then our monthly Game Night is the event for you. This is typically a smaller and more intimate event with about 12-15 people in attendance. Non-members are welcome to attend - just contact us to get more information and let us know you're interested.

HOW TO POST COMMENTS OR CREATE A BLOG ENTRY

Adding a comment to an existing blog entry is very simple. Under each blog post there is a link such as "3 Comments". Click on this link and you will be directed to a dialog box where you will log in and be able to leave your comment. You can use a variety of profiles to log in with such as your Google account, your OpenID, your AIM username, etc. Select the profile you would like to use and then proceed. You will have to enter the word-match entry (so we can avoid spam).

Our October Dining Out Is an Oriental treat. Located on the West Side of the Mayfair Mall is one of Milwaukee's most popular destinations for Chinese Food and for good reason.

With an expansive menu of well prepared appetizers, entrees and desserts and an attractive wait staff dining out at P.F. Chang's is an event you won't want to miss.

Make an evening of it! The 7:00 dining time offers an opportunity to take in a movie at the Mayfair theater after dinner.

GAMMA's MGVA Fall Volleyball Team

We are pleased to announce that GAMMA has a team registered again to play in the Milwaukee Gay Volleyball Association league play. Please come out to cheer on Tony, Peter, Yan, Jeff, BJ, Ken, Larry, Mark, and Jack as they take the court on November 14th for the first night of of league play. Games are played at the Beulah Brinton Center in BayView on Sunday evenings.

PrideFest Volleyball 2011

Believe it or not, planning and preparation for the volleyball events at PrideFest 2011 are already underway. I'm pleased to announce that we will again be partnering with the Milwaukee Gay Volleyball Association this year to host the open play volleyball as well as the volleyball tournament. The tournament for 2011 is going to be bigger than ever, with four courts set up for competitive play in addition to the two courts for open play. This is a wonderful opportunity for GAMMA to get involved in a community-wide event, and we hope that we'll generate even more interest in GAMMA that ever before.

We've already got a small working group made up of myself and a few members of the MGVA board, but we need more help. Right now we're meeting about once a month to work out the preliminary plans, put together a budget, and to start working on putting together everything needed for an event such as this.

It would be VERY helpful for me to have two or three other GAMMA members involved in this process and to help get things organized. Rather than wait until we're only weeks away from the event, this year I am reaching out to you and other members now asking for help early. Please consider taking part in this process and helping us put together another wonderful volleyball event. GAMMA received a lot of positive recognition in the community for our involvement in last year's tournament, and with your help I know that the coming tournament can be even better.
